Horses & Heroes: A Free Equine Therapy Program for Post-9/11 Veterans at SRQ Vets
SRQ Vets is excited to announce our partnership with SMART (SRQ Riders Association for Mobility Therapy) to offer Horses & Heroes, a completely free equine therapy program designed specifically for post-9/11 veterans.
The Horses & Heroes program goes beyond traditional therapy, utilizing the unique connection between humans and horses to promote healing and well-being.
A Path to Healing
Our program is designed to address the physical, mental, and psychological needs of veterans. Through equine therapy sessions, veterans will have the opportunity to:
- Connect with horses in a peaceful and supportive environment
- Build camaraderie with other veterans
- Develop a deeper understanding of themselves
- Learn valuable coping mechanisms
Flexible Program Options
Horses & Heroes offers two program options to best suit your needs:
- 2-hour Group Sessions: Meet once a week for 5 weeks in a supportive group setting.
- 3.5-hour Intensive Sessions: Meet once a week for 3 weeks for a more in-depth experience.
