Annual Memorial Hike with SRQ Vets
May 29, 2021, is the 6th Annual Memorial Day 5k hike hosted by SRQ Vets. This event honors our fallen heroes and unites local veterans and civilian communities in an effort to raise funds for the SRQ Vets organization and our effort to help local veterans.
SRQ Vets is a 100% volunteer veteran-run 501c3. Our mission is to find resources that can benefit veterans and their families, and connect veterans to these resources. With the purchase of a ticket to the Annual Memorial Day Hike, you can help SRQ Vets assist local veterans with their various needs, including mental health services, education, housing, and more.
The 6th Annual Memorial Day hike is set to begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 29. Registration opens at 8 a.m. Participates of all ages are encouraged to hike. Children ages 12 and under are free, while adult tickets cost $25. Children receive one lunch ticket and one N/A drink ticket, while participants ages 13 to 20 years of age receive an event T-shirt, a lunch ticket, and one N/A drink ticket. Adults ages 21 and older also receive a T-shirt and lunch ticket, as well as one beverage ticket.
If you plan on attending the SRQ Vets Memorial Hike, it is recommended you dress comfortably. Some may wear their military attire and duffle bags if desired. While there is no designated parking, you can find parking on the street or by Marina Jacks. Additionally, you can pay at the gate for the event, but you will not be guaranteed a T-shirt if doing so. If you have any questions, send an email to Rob@srqvets.us. We hope you will join us for our 6th Annual Memorial Day Hike 5k!
