June 14 is the United States Army’s Birthday. The Army is turning 246 years old! The Army was created in 1775 and originally consisted of volunteer soldiers who fought in the Revolutionary War. Today, the Army is the biggest branch of the U.S. military.

April 23, 2021, is the United States Army Reserve’s 113 birthday. For over 100 years, the Army Reserve acted as “the most capable, combat-ready, and lethal Federal Reserve force in the history of the Nation,” according to their official site.

The Air Force Reserve has the duty to respond quickly to emergencies when they occur, and many pilots, mechanics, and other Air Force members form a part of the reserve.
