Who are the SRQ Vets?
A group of veterans in southwest Florida realized that there was a need to get help from veterans who were not able to find assistance on their own. So they formed the non-profit group SRQ Vets to offer a range of assistance and services to other veterans. The group is proud to have a positive effect both on the veteran population centered on Sarasota Florida but also on the community in general.
We don’t consider any job to be too large or small when it comes to helping a veteran. Some of the services we can provide include:
- VA assistance
- PTSD and TBI assistance
- Job placement assistance
- Home repairs and maintenance
- Auto repairs and maintenance
- Assistance with basic needs
- Transportation
- Home modifications for disabled vets
Along with our volunteer efforts to help vets in our area, we also coordinate with Operation Rubix in Sarasota to gain access to a network of therapists, legal experts, and mental health professionals who can help vets suffering from a variety of issues during and after active service.
